 Colonists protested, boycotted British goods,and. Colonists objected to being taxed.

They organized protests or they printed out pamphlets where they would explain what Britain was doing or they would even purposefully cause harm to the British merchants such as what happened during the Boston tea party. Eventually it all turned into a full rebellion.
