Alex may succumb to follow the opinions of he's fellow team mates due to peer pressure. Alex is aware and correct with he's ideas on smoking but will find it hard if not strong willed, to stay the course. To be a part of the group, he will eventually have to morph into the group ideals. This can be seen as a reflection of our lives in our society and how we eventually succumb to the ideas of how we should live.
