In my opinion, the correct answer is D. danger of losing human relationships and means of communication. Both Dr. Moreau and Griffin are socially isolated and are losing contact with reality. The former is banished from London because of his inhumane treatment of animals (vivisection), and the latter is isolated even though he lives in an urban environment. He is an outcast whose formula for invisibility is just a metaphor for his detachment from society.
