It's known as psychology. Clinical psychology would study people with psychological difficulties. It would probably be in a clinic or hospital setting with a resident Psychiatrist. The initial assessment would be done by a psychologist and then it would be done again by the resident Psychiatrist. Psychiatrists can prescribe medication if necessary.
