Depending on the packaging that the egg is in, what it is incased in could absorb the shock of the fall, for example dropping an egg in a cardboard box the egg would probaly crack becuase there is no materials to take the blow, where as if the egg is in a box surrounded by soft cotton and bubble wrap the egg is less likely ot break
