think of this as y=mx + b

m is your slope so on x/3 there is an invisible 1 in front if the x so it is actually 1/3 x, 1/3 is your slope

b is your y-intercept so the y-intercept is 1/8

slope=1/3
y-intercept=1/8

hope this helps
