Respiratory distress is known as dyspnea or one is experiencing shortness of breath, either air cannot pass easily into the lungs or due to an anxiety attack where there is an increase awareness of breathing and an abnormality of ventilatory system. The other cause of shortness of breath is cause by disorders of the cardiac system.
