The primary factor in creating arousal for an exhibitionist is lack of consent. Most exhibitionists engage in voyeuristic actions before starting an exhibitionist behavior. There is a pattern in which males sexually display themselves in public. There are also three characteristic features of the exhibitionist behavior. The first one is that it is performed for unknown women. Second, it happens in a place where sexual intercourse is not possible. And the third is to surprise or shock a woman.
