The sum of −15x2 −5x + 11 and another polynomial expression is −9x2 + 3x −10. What is the other polynomial expression?

6x^2+8x-21


Explanation:

Let the another expression be P.

Then according to the question,


-15x^2-5x+11+P=-9x^2+3x-10


\\\Rightarrow\ P=-9x^2+3x-10-(-15x^2-5x+11)

Open bracket and multiply (-) inside in the bracket, we get


P=-9x^2+3x-10+15x^2+5x-11

Combining like terms , we get


\\\Rightarrow\ P=-9x^2+15x^2+3x+5x-10-11\\\Rightarrow\ P=6x^2+8x-21
