True, this is because they are are poisonous and only Myuchelys Latisternum, the saw-shelled turtle can prey on them.

The given statement is True.

Cane toads were introduced as an invasive species to eat the beetles that were destroying the sugarcane.

But the cane toads was successful invasive specie because it did not eat the beetles and moreover it started disturbing the ecosystem as it was highly poisonous and killed the predators that feed on them.
