Rhyolite has greater percent of biotite in it than basalt. The percentage of biotite in basalt is negligible. It is mainly composed of pyroxene, Ca palgioclase, and olivine. Whereas Rhyolite has almost 18% of biotite in it. Other minerals in rhyolite include orthoclase, and trace amounts of plagioclase
