Psychiatrist Elisabeth Kubler-Ros developed a theory of death and dying that involves five steps. She presented theory in her book "On death and dying", which was inspired by her work with patients in terminal phase of illness. Five steps: 1. denial; 2. anger; 3. settlement/negotiation; 4. depression; 5. acceptance.
