Examples are:

Chameleons - changes color when being hunted by animals that want to eat them

Polar Bears - their white fur blends in with the arctic environment, so they can stalk their prey and eat them without them being seen

Lions - their mane provides camouflage when stalking deer

So camouflage can be used by either prey or animal, each for their own survival
