Sir Thomas More

More (1477 - 1535), an English humanist, lawyer, and social philosopher, wrote and published the book "Utopia" in 1516, his most famous work.

"Utopia" is a fiction work in which the author describes a peaceful society set on a fiction island. In here, people share a common culture and way of life, they are educated alike, the religious toleration prevails, the law is simple, there are no lawyers, the private property doesn't exist and social gatherings tends to be in public view, which encourages the characters to behave well.
