The following are indications that will suggest that there is a presence of airway obstruction;

· Low ph

· Increased PCO2

· Decrease PO2

It is because when a child does not have the capability of evacuating the accumulated CO2 due to ab obstruction, there will likely be a result of the PCO2 to rise in the arterial blood as well as its carbonic acid concentration. In the same time, there will be a presence of low ph because of acidosis that occurs because of the low PCO2 and concentration of carbonic acid being too low. That will likely lead of the PO2 to decrease.
