Ancient Egypt worshipped Gods and Goddesses. Priests controlled temples and led religious services. The Egyptians believed that the afterlife was far better than reality. Pharaohs were embalmed to prepare their bodies for the afterlife. There were temples and shrines built to honor Gods.

Religion played a role in every aspect of life, religion was based on polytheism which is the worship of many deities. Life on earth was seen as an eternal journey
