The crust is the layer of Earth that is like the shell of an egg.
The crust is the hard outer shell layer of the earth that lies on top of the mantle. The earth’s crust is composed of different types of rocks which are; igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. The crust is of two different types which are; (i) the continental crust (thicker and located under the land), and (ii) the oceanic crust (thinner and located under the ocean).
