My niece and nephew watch kid shows like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. A few tv ads shown on these networks are "Let's Go" and "Play 60". These commercials use popular celebrities and characters from popular kids' shows that motivate children to be more active. Likewise, the ads tell parents to encourage their kids to do physical activities. I think the ads are effective in motivating kids to be more active since they usually do what they see on tv. And in my community, some groups of people also schedule activities wherein kids gather together and play at the park. These activities are helpful since they allow children to have social interaction as well experience physical activities that can benefit their health.
