c=p×.75
c=223×.75
c=$167.25
The letter c is used as a "place holder" for the value cost.
The letter p is used as a place holder for the value pounds.
Since the question above gives us the integer value of pounds, we can replace the p with the integer 223 and solve the formula for the only remaining variable c.
