this is the theory that describes protein building in order: DNA to RNA to protein. DNA is transcribed to RNA which is transcribed to protein. Protein is never back translated to protein. Protein is never back translated to RNA to DNA; DNA is never directly translated to protein

Central Dogma

The central dogma of molecular biology describes the two-step process, transcription and translation, by which the information in genes flows into proteins: DNA → RNA → protein. Transcription is the synthesis of an RNA copy of a segment of DNA.

This theory is called CENTRAL DOGMA.
The theory is a framework which describes the flow of genetic information from DNA to RNA to protein. The process of transferring genetic information from DNA to RNA is called transcription. The RNA code is then use as the original instructions for building a chain of amino acids. This process is called translation.
