First step is to divide the cookies by the required cups of sugar to find out how many cookies 1 cup could make:

48/3 = 16

Now, that we know that 1 cup can make 16 cookies, multiply 16 by the 5 cups of sugar she has:

16 x 5 = 80

That makes #1 B.)

#2
With number two, divide the original amount by the new amount of fudge:

192/64 = 3

Now multiply 1.5 by 3

1.5 x 3 = 4.5

That makes #2 A.)
