Hypotenuse length = 30 cm.

We have to find the area of the triangle

Since area of a triangle =
(1)/(2) (Base) (height)

tan 23° =
(height)/(Base) =
(h)/(27.6)

0.42447 =
(h)/(27.6)

h = 27.6 × 0.42447 = 11.716 cm

Now area of the triangle =
(1)/(2) (27.6) (11.716)

= 161.67 cm² ≈ 161.7 cm²
