Which part of the female reproductive system sheds during the menstrual cycle?

Its part of the uterus. Because the uterus thickens before the cycle to help prepare for a baby and then sheds the linings when their isnt a baby.

The endometrium, a layer of blood rich temporary tissuet, of the uterus, that would normally be used should an ovum be fertilized and then attach itself to this layer for development. This layer effectively sheds though during menses, hence why its bloody consistency.
