I now chlorophyll is the main compound (or one of them) and I'm pretty sure chlorophyll is a protein so I'd pick "D".

The correct answer is:

D) proteins.

Step-by-step explanation:

Chlorophyll is an orpiment that gives plants their green color. Plants practice chlorophyll forward with sunlight to make their nutrients. Chlorophyll molecules are respectively established in and around pigment protein systems called photosystems which are installed in the thylakoid layers of chloroplasts.
