The allegations that Saddam Hussein was cooperating with Al-Qaeda was on of the reasons cited for the US led invasion of Iraq in 2003. But the investigation that occurred after the invasion showed no evidence that there was cooperation between the Iraqi leader and the terrorist group as it was revealed by the independent commission and declassified documents of the Defense Department.
