All the activities mentioned above help in increasing a person's muscle strength. Increased muscle strength in the lower-body helps improve balance. More muscle strength will allow you to carry groceries, climb the stairs, bend over and do yoga. Other exercises for muscle strength are lifting weights and cycling.
