Given:
P(A ∪ B) = 0.8,
P(B) = 0.7,
P(A ∩ B) = 0.6.
P(A) = ?
Now, the formula is:
P(A U B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A ∩ B)
0.8 = P(A) + 0.7 - 0.6
Or P(A) = 0.8 + 0.6 - 0.7
P(A) = 0.7 Ans.
