Let

f------> the final velocity of an object

v------> an initial velocity

a-----> an acceleration rate

t------> the time

we have

f = v + at

Solve for a-------> that means clear variable a

Subtract v both sides

f-v = v + at-v

f-v = at

Divide by t both sides

(f-v)/t = at/t

(f-v)/t = a

so

a=(f-v)/t

therefore

the answer is

a=(f-v)/t
