Hi there.

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with the legs of the same length. The base of an isosceles triangle won't match up with a leg.

You can distinguish the base of an isosceles triangle from a leg by asking "are they equal in length?"

I hope this helped!

The two legs on the triangle are equal or congruent to one another while the base is not
