The answer is superego; ego. The superego is the moral segment of the identity and gives the ethical measures by which the sense of self works. The superego's reactions, denials, and restraints frame a man's inner voice, and its positive desires and goals speak to one's romanticized mental self portrait, or "personality perfect."
