Maximilien Robespierre delivered his speech for "On the Moral and Political Principles of Domestic Policy" in February 1794 to offer his insight on the vision of the revolution and his justification for the use of terror. He believed that ordinary people had to believe in the principles of democratic government than to follow the laws. Just as execution had been used by religious people in Europe for a long time, Robespierre believed that it was an appropriate penalty for people who didn't support politics. His speech also raised questions about the meaning of French Revolution and the use of extremism for liberty.
