Soil erosion is a slow process where soil moves down hill into streams or other water beds. This problem occurs as development from clearing forest, shrubs and other ground cover for development. Without any buffer to hold the soil it funnels into streams along with any toxins like pesticides, polluting water ways and drinking water sources.
