Exocrine acinar cells secrete several digestive enzymes, inlcuding amylase, lipase, and peptidases enzymes, which are only activated when they reach the duodenum. On the other hand, Epithicial cells, which reside in the pancreatic ducts, are the source of the bicarbonate and water secreted by the pancreas.
