Well, since it regulates water movement, it wouldn't be B. and since it is water movement INTO AND OUT OF THE CELL, it wouldn't be C. Since the CV expels water from the cell by contracting, its main purpose is not A. The Answer Is D. because it helps the organism maintain osmotic pressure by taking in or releasing water.
