2i+3+the square root of -4. i dont understand how to write this expeession as a complex number in standard form. a step by step would be helpful! thank you!

First, you would need to find the square root of -4...

So, do -4 times itself and you get 16.

Lastly, you would add the 2i, the 3, and the 16...

So the answer to this problem would be...
2i+3+16=2i+19 <==

2i + 3 + 4i

Once you do that, add the 2i and 4i and you have your final answer.
