How does grassroots lobbying differ from other efforts by interest groups to influence government?

The differ in a way that Grassroots/outside lobbying focuses more than other forms of advocacy on influencing public opinion to support groups' goals.
While other forms of support groupps on the other tend to not really care about the type of regulations that being made as long as it wouldn't bother with their group interest.
