Area of a square is LxW the area of a triangle is base times height so the badse is 3 and the height is 2 so that is 6
The area of a rectangle is length times width so 2 times 1 is 2
6 plus 2 is 8 the answer is D, 8 units

= 1/2 (2)(3) + (2)(1)
= 3 + 2
= 5
