According to history, Antarctica has been glaciated for about 20 to 25 million years. Antarctica started to glaciate as it separated from South Africa which has caused immense changes in the weather. It has caused isolated storms in the area which resulted the separated Antarctica to get colder and colder until it eventually glaciated.
