How do you divide fractions

you find the reciprocal of the second fraction and change the division sign to multiplication and multiply straight across

Dividing fractions is basically the same thing as multiplying fractions but by the reciprocal.

For example,
(3)/(8) ÷
(1)/(4) you would change this so in the second fraction that is being divided, the numerator and the denominator would switch places. Instead, it would be...


(3)/(8) x
(4)/(1)
