1. The major neurotransmitter of the sympathetic nervous system are the acetylcholine and norepinephrine. Acetylcholine stimulates the fight or flight response in humans and this results in raising of the heart rate and increase in blood pressure when the fight or flight mode is activated. Since the synephrine found in bitter orange mimics the effects of the neurotransmitter of the sympathetic nervous system, this means that the synephrine found in bitter orange will brings about INCREASE IN THE BLOOD PRESSURE of the user.
2. THIS DRUG SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO PEOPLE WITH HYPERTENSION.
People with hypertension already have raised blood pressure. If the herbal supplement is given to them, this will leads to a further raise in their blood pressure and this can have very fatal results that will result in death.
