What does a pronoun do

If you do not want to repeat the same noun over, you can replace it with a pronoun. For example, instead of saying "Sally loved Jack, but Sally loved Halloween more." you could use the pronoun "she" and say, "Sally loved Jack, but she loved Halloween more."
