Answer: Tundras and Taiga

The tundra and taiga biomes are the coldest biomes on earth. Taiga is found in the regions of North America and Eurasia whereas the Tundra biome is native of Arctic and Antarctic circle. Taiga biome is characterized by coniferous tress but the tundra biome exhibit scanty vegetation cover typically of lichen and mosses. In both the Taiga and Tundra biomes the winter season is long and severe.
