Einstein’s E= mc² equation, where E is the energy of a particle, m is the mass of the particle and c is the speed of light. This equation proves the interchangeability of energy and mass. When mass is lost it gets converted to energy that flows with the speed of light. Energy is electromagnetic radiation that flows with the speed of light.
