Lactic Acid Fermentation and Alcoholic Fermentation. Lactic Acid fermentation produces lactic acid, and alcoholic fermentation produces alcohol and carbon dioxide.Lactic acid fermentation has 2 ATP. Oxygen is required for the process to occur-Aerobic means. No oxygen is required for the process to occur-Anaerobic means. The ferment sugar which produces ethanol, methanol, and only a little ATP.
