Use PEMDAS, aka the Order of Operations.

15000 = P (1 + 0.04) ^ 4
15000 = P (1.04) ^ 4
15000 = P (1.16985856)
Divide by 1.16985856 on both sides.
12822.0629 = P

12822.0629 rounded in money is $12822.06
