First, you have to put the equation into y-intercept form:

5x-10y=20 subtract 5x from both sides

-10y=-5x+20 divide all terms by -10

y=1/2x-2 y-intercept form

Now, you can see that the slope is 1/2 and the y-intercept is -2.
