Answer: The ratio of genotype is 1:2:1 and the ratio of phenotypes is 3:1

Freckles is a dominant trait, which is represented by the allele F. The possible genotypes for the freckle trait are FF and Ff .

Both the parents are hetrozygous for the trait. This means that the genotype of both the parents is Ff.

When the parents are crossed, they result into offsprings with the genotypes FF, Ff, and ff.

From the punnett square, the genotypic ratio is 1:2:1 ( FF: Ff: ff) and the phenotypic ratio is 3:1 ( three having freckles and one having no freckle trait).
