Answer: family systems

A family is a system in which each member has a specific role and a way to behave. Maintaining the same pattern or role within the system makes a balance family system. However, it can also cause dysfunction. In this case, the husband is addicted to alcohol and cannot pull himself together, making other's specially the wife take more responsibilities to maintain the balance. These changes in roles, may lead to dysfunction if the wife can't keep with too much responsibility, and affects the whole family.
