The answer to the problem is 4 and here is why:
If you take 4 times 125, you get 500. An easy way to do that in your head is 4 times 25 is 100, and 4 times 100 is 400, and 100 + 400 equals 500.
Ex: 4 x 125 = (4 x 25) + (4 x 100) = 500
