The correct answer is B) Overpopulation and poor resource management.

The statement that the author considers being the biggest problems facing the world today is Overpopulation and poor resource management.

The author reaches the conclusion that there are two major problems these days that are affecting the world and more that are the consequence of these two. Overpopulation is a huge issue for the world today. There are many people on earth and such a few amounts of resource to satisfy basic necessities. Raw and natural resources are still consumed but cannot be renewed at the same speed people is consuming. This takes us to poor resource management. The majority of people in the Earth is trying to get enough resources to survive, meanwhile, the few wealthy people are wasting resources that other people desperately need.
